The Shared Forest Business group was launched at the New Forest Show in July this year

Its aim is to encourage businesses and other organisations to increase the awareness of their employees and associates of the special care needed when using the unfenced roads in the Forest. This is especially important when driving close to free roaming animals -

which have right of way on all the unfenced roads - and in conditions of poor light or darkness.

With the support of six major local employers we have drawn up a Charter which participating businesses are asked to sign.

We have also designed a vehicle sticker which participating organisations will be asked to display on their vehicles to show that the company is part of the scheme and the driver is aware of how to drive safely on the unfenced roads of the New Forest.

Organisations that join the scheme will demonstrate their commitment to safe driving in the New Forest to prospective customers by displaying the sticker on their company vehicles. Membership will entitle them to use the Shared Forest Business group logo on marketing materials
